The family of Sgt. Maj. Lacey Ivory, who was killed during the Sept. 11, 2001, Pentagon attack, called the Freedom Walk a way to help honor his memory and heal. Behind the wheelchair, retired Army Lt. Col. Deborah Ivory, his wife, walks her grandmother, Ethel Legrand. With her, to the left, are daughter Leila and granddaughter, Maisha, and to her right, Aaron Davis.
