The Session joined hands with theBoard, a congregational meeting was held, and eightthousand eight hundred and fifty dollars was subscribedto the Fund, in sums ranging from ten dollars then it has steadily climbed, until it has reachedthe seventh notch out of the ten towards the hundredthousand dollar mark. The Burial Trust Fundhas increased fivefold, and other endowments havebeen established, which are enumerated below. At the present writing, the invested endowments ofthe church aggregate over one hundred thousand dol-lars. Of this sum only two-thirds, however, is in theBrainerd Memorial Endowment Fund, the income ofwhich goes to the trustees for the general maintenanceof the church. So it will be seen that this fund mustbe largely increased to make it thoroughly efficient,and it is the hope of the men who have given their lifefor the church and sacrificed so much for her welfarethat this general maintenance endowment will reachin itself the sum of one hundred thousand d
