Clifton Suspension Bridge in early morning sunlight, Clifton, Bristol, Great Britain.
Clifton Suspension Bridge was built across the Avon Gorge on the western edge of Bristol, in the west of England, in the 19th century. Designer and engineer was Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a famous British engineer of that time, who built many bridges, tunnels and railways in the west and southwest of England at this time. He also designed and built some of the most famous ships of the Victorian era. Today, the Clifton Suspension Bridge is still in use and is an icon of Bristol, one of the city's main tourist attractions.
