The florist industry is growing' so fast and has assumed such great pro- portions that specialists are develop- ing in all the various branches. One of the most important, from a grow- er's standpoint, is the plant .iobber or dealer in florist's stock for growing on, a man who keeps his hand on the pulse of production with an accurate knowledge of the volume of the vari- ous products, and who has built up a clientele that depend on him for their supply. C. U. Liggit. who started as a plant broker in this city some five years ago, has developed a steadily growing business, his practical meth- ods and untiring industry have earned him the confidence of the trade. Each season sees additions to his sales and office force, the latest and most Import- ant addition being Louis J. Reuter. who will represent Mr. Liggit in the New England states. Mr. Liggit re- ports a strong demand for all classes of seasonable florist's stock, of which a number of items are very scarce. In the recent hailstorm. W. and H. F.
