Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune helped host the annual Retiree Appreciation Day on September 24, 2022 at Camp Lejeune. The event is hosted by NMCCL's Health Promotion and Wellness Department and Camp Lejeune's Retired Affairs Office and serves to provide retirees with health care information and resource sharing. Hundreds of retirees attended the event which had not been held since 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic. More than 30 vendors participated from various organizations with surrounding counties, the state of North Carolina, and federal entities such as Veterans Affairs.
