The New York & Sea Beach Railroad, as announced inour December issue, has passed under the control of theBrooklyn Rapid Transit Company, which purchased a ma-jority of the stock and bonds. The Sea Beach road extendsfrom the foot of 65th street (Bay Ridge), Brooklyn, toConey Island, a distance of six miles, and the object of theRapid Transit Company in securing the line was to give afrequent and high-speed service to Coney Island from all.
