Veterans in beds and deckchairs, children in cots and wheelchairs,uniformed nurses, some in white othersin pink or blue, uniformed orderlies andhousekeeping staff, relatives, photo-graphers, and eighty-five farm boys whohad helped convey the patients from the 376 wards, filled the grounds.
