This is a close up image of a Crown Betta fish or otherwise known as a siamese fighting fish. Well known for their aggressiveness and intolerance of other male bettas, these amazingly ornate and colourful fish are as dramatic in their behaviour as they are in appearance, demonstrating wild posturing, spinning and turning when anywhere near another male. Allthough only small in size, this fish has serious attitude and lots of colour! This image resolves very high detail due to the standard of image capture equipment used (apo enlarging lenses on bellows etc etc) and lots of patience and time.
