He has se- cured the lease of a 3-story building al- most double the width of the present store and located only a few doors away, He plans to fit the new quarters up in first-class style during the summer and to be ready by autumn with one of the most completely equipped and most thoroughly modern retail flower stores in the south. BOOHESTES, N. Y. Tlie Market. The market has been seriously handi- capped during the last week by the switchmen's strike, but, fortunately, the express service resumed its regular activities at the end of the week and the termination of the trouble appears to be in sight. Many out-of-town grow- ers, living at a distance of twenty to thirty mUes, were obliged to deliver their stock by automobile and this, com* bined with the weather, made things bad. Business throughout this section has been poor for at least a week. Since the heavy rush at Easter trade has not been good and, were it not for funeral work, stock would not have moved as it did. A good shpply of stock has ar- rived daily from the local growers, all of which has moved satisfactorily. Boses have possibly stood in first place and include Columbia, Dunlop, Ophelia, Hoosier Beauty, Ward, Sun- burst, Martinet and Killamey. Bulb- ous stock, which had a remarkable season and has sold at good prices, is slowing up a little now and does not move so readily.
