CORAL SEA (July 15, 2017) Marines attached to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) return from shore in amphibious assault vehicles to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) after conducting a large-scale amphibious assault exercise during Talisman Saber 17. Talisman Saber is a biennial bilateral exercise held off the coast of Australia meant to achieve interoperability and strengthen the alliance.
