At approximately 22:45 on Monday evening London Fire Brigade were called to a reports of a fire in a former Tile Shop on Eastern avenue close to the junction of Ley Street in Ilford. The fire appeared to be in the upper floor of the building. One person was treated by London Ambulance Service Paramedics. Six fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were called to the scene.
