Mr. Gore had rendered distinguished servicesto the Society of the kind contemplated in Rules 7 and 9, and theywere calculated to promote the objects enumerated under Rule 1. His Excellency the Governor had no hesitation in ruling that themotion was in order, and had much pleasure in putting it beforethe Meeting.
