PACIFIC OCEAN — An MH 60 Seahawk with the America Amphibious Ready Group takes flight during Composite Training Unit Exercise aboard USS America (LHA 6), May 8, 2017. The purpose of COMPTUEX is to ensure that the MEU can plan and execute a variety of operations at a moment’s notice, ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore flights are critical to the MEU’s transportation capabilities and allow the 15th MEU to operate in any corner of the globe.
