Monument to Janusz Korczak, designed by Zbigniew Wilma in 2006, located at the site of the former Jewish orphanage - Warsaw, Poland.


Janusz Korczak or Henryk Goldszmit was a Polish educator, paediatrician and children's author (he is still best known for King Matt the First). On 5 August 1942 Dr. Korczak was sent with his orphans from the Warsaw Ghetto to the German Treblinka death camp and murdered in a gas chamber.
