Several yearsago I used to see flocks of from ten to fifty individuals, but the last few yearsI have seen only one or two Stilt Sandpipers in with flocks of the smallerLeast and Semi-palmated varieties. They are not in the least timid andallow anyone to approach within a few feet of DOWITCHER STILT SANDPIPER 31
