Dead trees in the Murray Darling Basin of Australia.

Dead and dying trees in a forest near the Murray River in the Murray Darling Basin area of Northern Victoria. Years of prolonged drought with its associated lack of rain in the basins catchments meant that little or no water flowed into natural creeks, swamps and watercourse along the length of both the Murray and Darling Rivers, resulting in significant losses of natural forest areas.
