The cathedral of Havana Cuba
Havana is based around the largest natural port in the Caribbean. It was founded in 1519 and became the capital of Cuba in 1558. It grew rapidly as a major Spanish port in the New World despite attacks by pirates. Havana Viejo or Old Havana is full of narrow streets, colonial buildings and mansions, cobblestone squares ,old churches and sixteenth century forts The cathedral in northeastern Havana cathedral was consecrated in 1788 and is the main feature of the Plaza de la Catedral, a small but beautiful square
