JAIBIRU, AUSTRALIA: AN OFF-DUTY emergency services officer managed to capture the hair-raising moment lightning shot UPWARDS into the sky before falling back to earth. You would be forgiven for thinking that lightning only strikes downwards from the clouds, but as this extraordinary picture proves bolts of electricity can travel upwards as-well-as downwards.
