He is a lifemember of the Dakota Historical Societyand of the Minnesota Historical prominence of the Armstrong familyhas not been confined to one member, asThomas H. Armstrong, a brother, hasserved as lieutenant governor of Minnesota,and another brother, Augustus Armstrong,served four years as United States marshalfor Minnesota, and his youngest brother,Edward (\. Armstrong, the only one nowliving, is a well known lawyer of Olmsted. \UMSTl:0.\G. county, Minn. He was married in 1872 toJIartha Bordens, of Detroit, Mich.
