He is the author of numerous pub-lications relating especially to German matters,among which are the following: A Practical Cler-man Grammar; a Life of Schiller; editions CHARLES NELSON JONES was gradu-ated Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin C^oUege in 187 1874 he was appointed Instructor in Mathemat-ics in the flniversity of Michigan, and in 1878 wasadvanced to the rank of Assistant Professor.
