The Market. The extreme heat during the week following Memorial day brought flow- ers of all kinds into bloom in such a rush that it seemed as though it would be hard to use all the stock, but happily the B. P. O. E, had their state conven- tion in Albany, June 2 to 4, and that helped matters greatly. Now the New York state bankers are here in convention, and business has been good. There have been many wed- dings during the first two weeks of June, all of which called for big quantities of flowers. Various Notes. Frederick Goldring, of Slingerlands, has had a fine lot of snapdragons all spring and is still cutting them. They sell readily. Mr. Goldring says that there is good money in snapdragons. Among recent callers on the trade were Wm. Cahill, representing E. J. Irwin, of JNew York; Stephen Greene, of H. Bayersdorfer & Co., Philadelphia; Sigmund Geller, of Geller Florists' Sup- ply Co., Brooklyn, N. Y.; James J. Karins, of Henry A. Dreer, Phila- delphia. H- M. TROY, N. Y. The Emma Willard School for Girls had its commencement June 11. There were flowers in profusion for the gradu- ates. Mulholland Bros, had a large share of the bouquets for the graduat- ing class. This, along with funeral work, kept them busy all the week. At the attractive store of H. Louis Mcnand, things wore rushing and have been ever since early last fall. Mr. Menand had some of the finest white peonies that were seen in this vicinity on Memorial day. Samu
