Costume of Bianca Maria, Countess of Cellant (Challant), 15th century. According to Bandello, this scandalous Italian beauty was beheaded for persuading one lover to kill two other lovers. She wears a gold-embroidered turban and a simar in white silk embroidered with gold and decorated with golden bows.
