A Tyrolian Gothic mortar, circa 1500 Bronze with brownish age patina. Slightly tapered body with grooved decoration and a slightly flared, reinforced rim. Three lion's feet at the base, the short ribs blending into bearded mascarons. An angular handle on the side. Comes with a matching pestle which presumably did not originally belong to this mortar.
