"W hen em- ployed in such manner they are excellent substi- tutes for Japanese Chrysan- themums, which they resemble. The plants grow in Can- delabra form to the height of about 18 inches, branch- ing out into well-formed bushes. These come into bloom early; each plant bears a number of flowers. Bedded out they are very showy, the healthy and abundant foliage making a handsome setting for the flowers. 2196. Ostrich Feather Aster. Salmon pink.
