The National Space Centre on the banks of the River Soar in Leicester. It is the largest visitor attraction in the UK dedicated to space with displays of rockets, lunar projects, a space theatre for planet watching and sci-fi events. The 47 milion pound National Space Science Centre was designed by architect Nicholas Grimshaw complete with its see through rocket display tower The exhibition inside includes a Blue Streak rocket an American Thor Able rocket and Russian Soyuz Capsule a Challenger Learning Centre and the CATSAT Satellite The Research Centre is supported by a grant from the Millennium Commission
