When these leaves finally die, the,)- have a peculiar wiltedappearance. The burrs also remain small and undeveloped. On thebranches attacked after the leaves have fully developed, the leaves as-sume their yellowish or reddish-brown fall colors. On trees killedby blight during the growing season, piior to September, both leavesand buns usually remain clinging to the branche
