1822 Nova Scotia - List of ships, Master and cargo arriving in Lunenburg from Labrador, Canada with dry fish and oil, showing ship's name and it's master and the number of men and boys in the crew. (A quintal equalled 100 basic units, pounds, tons, etc). Lunenburg was one of the first British attempts to settle Protestants in Nova Scotia. Now as then, offshore fishing played a large part in its economy and today the town holds Canada's largest secondary fish-processing plant.
