A unique nose to horn experience, creative workshops, dedicated conservation talks and an unusual collection of visitors nail clippings – as Knowsley Safari celebrates the fourth annual World Rhino Day, 22 September. Dedicated to the celebration of all five species of rhino - white, black, greater one horned, Sumatran and Javan – the campaign, supported by Knowsley Safari, aims to raise awareness of the poaching crisis and demand for rhino horn that is threatening their survival. Animal enthusiasts are invited to take a walk on the wild side, with an off-road adventure and unique, up close rhino experience. The one-off experience offers enthusiastic visitors the opportunity to enjoy a guided safari around the rhino section, exploring the 100-acre rhino paddock and gaining unparalleled access to the crash – getting closer than ever to the nine month-old calves Thabo, Njiri and Nonu as they scamper around the adults.
