Alliaria petiolata or Garlic Mustard is a perennial plant found in gardens, roadside verges, hedges and wasteland. It is also known as Jack-by-the-Hedge, Jack-in-the Bush and Poor Man's Garlic. It is an ancient culinary herb now often considered a nuisance and invasive weed. It can be eaten like spinach or small amount used to flavour food.
