Dog meat is considered a delicacy in parts of China. The animals are kept alive in cages at the back of the market before being killed and plunged in boiling water. The bodies are then hung on display and customers select which pieces they want. The bodies of three dogs hanging from hooks can be seen as a customer walks past.
