A drawing taken shortly after death representing the Petechial Rash, from a fulminating case, which died in thirty-six hours. The picture shews theappearance presented by the rash in the skin overlying the great trochanter. Thecomparatively large size of the petechiae and their brOhant copper colour, persistentafter death, and contrasting with the surrounding skin, well illustrates the tendencyof the rash to assume its more marked form over points of pressure.
