celand - 13 December 2014; Part of Iceland's unstoppable transition to clean, renewable and sustainable energy, the Hellisheiði Power Station is the third-largest geothermal power station in the world. Located in Hengill, southwest Iceland, 11 km from the Nesjavellir Geothermal Power Station, the plant has a capacity of 303 MW of electricity and 133 MWH of hot water for Reykjavik's district heating. This is a characteristically distorted fisheye view of its turbine hall.
