The genenil statistics of births in Rhode Island, during the year1884, derived from the returns sent to this office, may be found onl)agcs 2 to 6, inclusive, in Tables I, II and III. The whole number reported is 7,305, as before stated, and is 259more than that of 1883. SEX OF THE CHILDREN BORN. Of the 7,305 children whose births were reported in 1884, therewere 3,713 males and 3,592 females. This gives males to each100 females, or males and females in each 1,000 children.
