A German sabre blade, manufactured for Le Page, 1815 to 1822 Slender, slightly curved blade of watered steel with Pandour point, broad fullers on both sides, the upper half of the blade profusely etched, blued and gold plated with finely engraved floral details and trophies-of-war. One side inscribed "Le Page du Roi à Paris", the other face with the ligatured initials "PK" (Peter Knecht of Solingen?). Edge professionally sharpened towards the point. Blade length cm.
