NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Nov. 30, 2018) Electrician’s Mate (Nuclear) 2nd Class Shauna Cox, from Weatherford, Texas, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) reactor department, receives his frocking letter from Cmdr. Emily Bassett, Ford’s reactor officer, during a promotion ceremony in the ship’s forecastle. More than 125 Ford Sailors advanced from the Fall 2018 Navy-wide advancement exam. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
