The general line of outdoor summer stock has been conspicuous by its ab- sence. Few summer outdoor flowers have been putting in an appearance. Crops of all kinds are suffering on ac- count of the drought. Funeral work was not in such active demand last week as it had been previ- ously. Business in general has not been active, but all good stock has been moved. Various Notes. William Eoepke has been cutting some good lilies. The revised premium lists for the Indiana state fair have been mailed out. Mr. Blackman, of Evansville, will be judge this year. William Julius, of Jeffersonville, stopped off at Indianapolis on his way to Cincinnati to spend his vacation. J. H. Stokke, of the Eiverside Floral Co., of Muncie, Ind., was a visitor this week. The picnic of the Indiana State Flo- rists' Association will be held at Ber- termann's Cumberland grove, August 2. This will be an all-day affair.
