The uterus has been removed entirely. It is 7 by 5 by and is covered with numerous adhesions. The uterine cavityis of the normal size. The mucosa is thinner than usual andshows nothinc of interest. Canadian Journal of Medicine and Surgery. 29 The right tube at the uterus is 3 mm. in diameter. Afterpassing outward cm. it suddenly increases in size, reachinga diameter of cm. It gTadually increases until near thofimbriated extremity it is 4 cm. in diameter. The entire lengthof the tube is approximately 12 cm. It is for the most partsmooth, but at two points on its inner aspect the muscular coatshave given way and we have hernial spaces .8 by cm. indiameter covered only by peritoneum (Fig. 9). The under sur-. FIGIRE CARCIXOMA OF THE RIGHT TUBE. face of the extremity of the tube is roughened where it has beenattached to the peritoneum of the pelvic floor. The tube was notopened until hardened. Sections near the uterus show that thelumen is fully 1 cm. in diameter, and that it is filled with afriable, porous, granular-looking growth which is free on theunder side, but intimately blends with the upper or convex sideof the tube. Sections near the outer end of the tube show thatthe walls are not over 1 mm. in thickness. Here also the tubelumen is filled with a similar friable growth which is whitish 30 Canadian Journal of Medicine and Surgery. yellow or iiim|i1c<1. eviilciiily :is ;i f old licinoriliii^cs.
