A flintlock turn-over pistol, Lorentz in Mainz, circa 1780. Blued, two-stage barrels, octagonal then round, with smooth bores in 10 mm calibre. Silver 'spider' front sights. Signed, "I. Lorenz in Mainz" on top of the barrels, numbered "1" and "2" respectively. Lightly cambered, colour case-hardened lockplates. Walnut stock with two stamped collection numbers. Minor repairs to the left of the forearm. Smooth brass furniture. "No. 27" engraved on the butt cap. Ramrod with bone tip inserted along the side.
