Family group on sandstone bluff at El Morro National Monument New Mexico - USA
Taken with a Nikon D7100 camera on a tripod at F16, Sp 80 and ISO 500. I used a remote shutter release to catch my 80 year old brother, 85 year old sister and 70 year old friend and me at 70 years old sitting on the sandstone. We had come to El Morro National Monument to celebrate my sister's 85th Birthday. She's the one in the middle. We hiked the two mile trail from the visitor center, up the sandstone cliff to the Atsinna pueblo ruins at the top, across the top of the bluff you can see behind us and then down a switchback trail back to the visitor center. There are inscriptions and petroglyphs on the wall dating back to the 1200's. Indians, conquistadors, calvary and settlers have written their names on the sandstone wall.
