View of Sok Kwu Wan and fish farm, looking east from the Route 1 Family Trail from Yung Shue Wan, Lamma Island, Hong Kong, China

The 4km long Family Trail, between Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan, takes an hour or so to walk. This viewpoint is from the top of the descent into the village of Sok Kwu Wan, with its many fine fish restaurants and fish farming rafts floating in the offshore waters of the bay. Fish are farmed in cages suspended from the rafts. Soil erosion is a problem on the steep hillsides of Hong Kong. Soil nailing protection is visible on the slopes to the left of Sok Kwu Wan.
