M. le Marquis De Talhouet, Minister of Public Works, is a deputy for the Sarthe. He was elected a member of the Legislative Assembly in 1849. Connected by birth with an ancient and noble family, he is possessed of a large fortune, and is a man of great spirit. In the country as well as in the Assembly, he occupies a very influential station.
