Report of first expedition to South America, 1913 . ^ a modified form of the disease is probable that the monkey is not as susceptible to thevirus of verruga or even to that of small-pox as is man. Thevirus of verruga also calls forth no appreciable febrile reactionin the monkey inoculated with it, and none of the monkeysdied from the inoculation with this virus.
