170408-N-GI441-011 ARABIAN GULF (April 8, 2017) An EA-18G Growler attached to the "Lancers" of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 131 launches from the aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77) (GHWB) while an F/A-18F Super Hornet attached to the "Blacklions" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 213 prepares to launch. GHWB is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
