Pierre de Soete (1886 - 1948) - a bronze bust, of the Brussels mayor Joseph van de Meulenbroeck in uniform wearing numerous decorations. Height circa 72 cm. Signed at the shoulder "P. de Soete" and inscribed at the plinth "A l' Echevin van de Meulenbroeck ses Amis 1932". Pierre de Soete was a Belgian sculptor and pupil of the Brussels academy. Cf.
