World War I Miniature French Legion of Honor medal given to Charles Lindbergh by its original recipient, Captain Rene Michel L'Hopital in 1914-1918. L'Hopital presented it to Lindbergh upon his arrival in Paris, May, 1927. L'Hopital received it from the Republic of France while he was aide to Marshal Foch.
