President Barack Obama delivers speech on the economy at the new Ford Stamping and assembly plant in Liberty, Missouri. While at the plant the President Obama emphasized the importance of raising the debt ceiling to allow the government to pay it's bills. Also he stated that "We bet on the American WOrker, we bet on you and now that bet is paying off, you have trouble making enough vehicles fast enough." Ford announced a $ Billion expansion at its Kansas City assembly plant in Liberty. Earlier this year Ford said the it was adding a third shift and 900 jobs because of demand.
