Historic image of Wrigley's chewing gum advertisement and Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny" biplane (center of the frame). Scan from a glass plate negative circa 1915-1919

Vernacular photograph of Wrigley gum advertisement on the side of the brick building and Curtiss JN-4 biplane (small, in the center of the frame). The image was scanned from the original 4x5 inches glass plate, circa 1915-1919, received from Eastern US. The advertisement include all the elements and words present in the Wrigley's Spearmint gum of the period ("Wrapped in United Coupons", "The Flavor Lasts", "Kills Pain","Profit Sharing" etc.) The airplane was probably the main subject of the image, due to the distance it is small in the frame but the model can be identified as Curtis JN-4 AKA "Jenny" which was very popular military training aircraft with total production run close to 7000.
