All of these were related to the Taliaferrosand Battailes, and the writer has a feeling that Mrs. Mildred Jameswas one of these, but, which one? 3iNicholas Taliaferros mother died at his birth; the only motherhe ever knew was Elizabeth, whom family tradition credits withbeing a mother indeed. Her father, Francis Taliaferro, was theson of Lawrence and Sarah (Thornton) Taliaferro, the daughter ofCol. Francis Thornton first and Alice Savage.
