Modern rusty steel sculpture by Basque visual artist Guillaume CHAVANNE (aka Gogara). Fascinated by the formal power of the lauburu (Basque cross), in 2016 Gogara began a study dedicated to this emblematic and essential symbol of the Basque Country. Gogara's sculptures are variations of all or part of this Basque cross, deformed, folded, reworked. / Sculpture moderne en acier rouillé de l'artiste plasticien basque Guillaume CHAVANNE (alias Gogara). Fasciné par la puissance formelle du lauburu (croix basque), Gogara a entamé en 2016 une étude dédiée à ce symbole emblématique et incontournable du Pays Basque. Les sculptures de Gogara sont des déclinaisons de tout ou partie de cette croix basque, déformée, pliée, retravaillée.
