Biological control research. Plant pathologist placing a box of grapes inside an ozone gas chamber. Inside each box of grapes is a bag containing the biocontrol fungus Muscodor albus. The fumes given off by this fungus have been found to be an effective way of controlling some common pests that can spoil stored food and crops. The combination of the fungus bags and ozone has a significant effect on the control of Botrytis cinerea, a common pest of edible grapes.
